John Wood Community College has an ongoing need for degreed professionals who are interested in becoming part-time instructors.  We frequently have openings for instructors in a broad array of subject areas, both day and evening hours.  To teach in one of our many transfer programs, you must have a master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the subject matter.  Credentials required to teach in one of our workforce programs vary.

Our ideal candidates demonstrate leadership ability, strong critical thinking skills and a record of outstanding achievement in past endeavors, whether in academics, extracurricular activities, or work experience.  We're searching for individuals who reflect thoughtfully on past experiences, maintain a sense of perspective in the face of challenges, operate with a positive attitude and a sense of realism, and demonstrate self-awareness and sensitivity to others.  If you possess these characteristics, we hope you'll want to bring these traits into the classroom.

Applications received are kept on file and are reviewed as positions become available. For full consideration, please email copies of your transcripts to hr@jwcc.edu.
