Instructor of Business

This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure track, bargaining unit position that reports to the Dean of Career and Technical Education and is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois. Position begins January 2024.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for teaching 15 credit hours per semester, which may include classes during the day or evening. Classes may be in a structured setting at any JWCC center, hybrid, or online. Courses include Introduction to Business, Principles of Organizational Management, Supervisory Management, Principles of Marketing, Business Law, Supply Chain Management. and other business courses dependent on the successful candidate's qualifications. Other duties may include course development and course updates.

Requires a willingness to be involved in activities including professional development, committee membership, curriculum review, academic assessment, and participation in systematic planning for program evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) OR a Master's degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Business is required. Community college teaching experience as well as experience in teaching through multiple delivery methods preferred. Recent and relevant work experience is preferred. The successful candidate must be fully credentialed per Higher Learning Commission and Illinois Community College Board standards upon date of hire.

SALARY

Salary commensurate with education and experience.
