Part-Time Instructor for Adult Education
This is a part time instructor position in the Adult Education Department for classes in fall semester starting immediately in Quincy, IL. This position is non-tenure track serving in a temporary or auxiliary capacity to teach specific courses on a course-by-course basis.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The instructor's duties will be to teach Adult Basic Education and GED preparation courses using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting. Responsibilities include implementing lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of students at various skill levels in preparation for high school equivalency testing and/or enhancement of basic education skills. Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 to noon at Bella Ease and Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:00 – 8:00 on the JWCC main campus.
QUALIFICATIONS
Adult Education Instructor position requires a bachelor's degree in education or related field, teaching experience in math, and experience working with adult learners.
